Joe Ciaglia



Managing Partner



Joe Ciaglia has been an owner for over 20 years. He has achieved the highest accolades in racing such as campaigning various grade 1 winners, an eclipse award champion, and managing a successful breeding operation. He is a director on the board for the Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC). Outside of racing, Joe owns and operates California Skateparks, the world's most known skatepark design and build firm.



Matt Dohman



Managing Partner



Matt Dohman has owned, bred, and raced thoroughbreds for over ten years under his banner Heart Racing Stables. Matt had wanted to create a suitable path for new and seasoned racehorse owners alike to achieve success, and to bypass the hurdles he’s encountered in the industry. Together with Joe, they've created California Racing Partners. He is a newly elected director on the board for the Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC). Outside of racing, Matt is married with two young children and is the president of Optimum First Mortgage.



Larry Zap

Larry Zap, known as “the eye”, has managed to bring a fresh perspective to racing. He has been on the Southern California scene full time since 1997, spending his first five years at the track as a private clocker. Zap measures and evaluating horses using a mathematical, Da Vinci type approach and values quality over quantity which has contributed greatly to the success of the horses he has purchased.
